CTRL has created a cross layer wireless simulation platform by combining the best features of well-known simulators.
The purpose of the platform is to allow the realistic cross layer simulation of various wireless systems and networks.
Examples of usages of the platform include the realistic investigation of how a large number of wireless smart devices can be deployed in an optimized way in Smart City environments, in order to co-exist in the same ISM bands, without severely interfering with each other.
Paradigms of devices that will need to co-exist in ISM or other bands may include sensors, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, other 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac or 802.1.5.4 devices etc.
These devices are expected to be deployed residentially, at offices, factories or city wide.
